Labor Day Marathon...movie marathon that is.

So, I spent the whole day yesterday re-watching the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy (yes...it really did take all day).

I love the conflict in that story between the good and the bad, the choices that each character has to make and the depth of the story line  (I didn't fall asleep once...okay, just once when they were in the forest).

Plus it was my daughter's first time to see the movies. Maybe now this will make better sense to her:

Hee hee hee. That's awesome!

You know what? I never read that book. My hubby has been on me about that...

LOL! Seriously. Great clip.

I have been wanting to do a marathon day like that but finding a day is not so easy because my kids are too young to watch them. Sigh. Someday. :)

Fun, fun! I love Lord of the Rings marathons. We usually do it over two or three days, though. I can't sit through them all in one day.

...that's a whole lotta movie watchin' ;)

My sons and I pulled off that feat over the course of three days during their summer break. Good times!

That is so funny, because we did a LOTR marathon on vacation since my daughter had never seen it. She loves them now.

And my kids are obsessed with that How it should of ended web videos.

I love those how it should have ended cartoons, so funny! The other day I was sick and I took the entire day to watch Pride & Prejudice. That was a blast!

But think of all that story we would have missed out on!

That is a great trilogy to study as far as structure, world building, and characterization goes. Love it!

Hah, now that's precious.

"Your mother has cataracts." I laughed out loud when he said that. And "Imagine if we walked all the way?" lol. Kind of a metaphor on life. We tend to take the hard way when we really could have flown! :)

I LOOOVE that video :-D

I tried and tried to read those books for my husband, but they're not only wordy (which is fine) but they're way outside of my genre.
I loved the Hobbit, and really enjoyed the movies, but the books... I know, I know. I'm a reader, lol.
Glad you got to do that. Some days it's the best to just veg :-D

I'm not a big Lord of the Rings fan, but I love those kind of weekends. My darling daughter bought me all the Vacation movies for Christmas. Whenever I'm down I like to watch them and laugh...

I love Lord of the Rings. About once a year our family does the same thing. Makes for some fun family bonding.

I tried to watch all those movies in one day before - got pretty sore sitting in the chair that long! But they're so fantastic!

That would be some marathon! Love this clip! Too funny!

We did a Walking Dead marathon when we first discovered it on Netflix. We watched the whole first season. That's the only marathon I've ever done.
