You're so Tweet

I've been on Twitter now for...I don't know... maybe a year?

And I still don't know what I'm doing on that thing.

I finally figured out the #hagtags.

But really, that's about it. So, I'm turning to WikiHow to help me out (http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Twitter).

Oh wiki...how smart you are!

Maybe in a few weeks, you'll see me twittering around (or writing funny things that make no sense - did you hear about the kid that borrowed his friends twitter page to look up a girl and kept typing her name in the "what's happening" box? lol. Poor guy).

So here's to tweeting. I hope I eventually figure it out. Oh! And tell me, what do you like better? Blogging, fbing, or twitter-ing? So far it's a tie with my crit group.

I've had a twitter account for at least a year too, and haven't made it a habit, or learned it. I even checked out a how-to-tweet book from the library once but it sat unread for three weeks! My priority is blogging but would like to fit in FB and twitter-ing easily into my day somehow. I'll look for you on twitter and hope you'll forgive my mistakes on twitter etiquette!

Lately I've been tweeting more than blogging. I can't seem to find a post in me. (Hugs)Indigo

I'd pick blogging over the others, though I haven't joined Twitter yet.

Ha ha ha. When you figure it out, clue me in. Blogging is my favorite, but I'm still deciding between FB and Twitter.

LOL. Poor little guy. I've just started on Twitter and can't seem to understand all the hype. I think I prefer blogging and FB :o)

I took Marion Jensen's class at Storymakers. SO helpful. Get Tweetdeck - I LOVE it, makes it all SO much easier. I follow #yalitchat #askagent #amwriting #wip and a few others, they all separate out for ya. AWESOME.

I'm @jolenebperry - see you there!!

Yay for Twitter! And ITA with Jolene on Tweetdeck - it's the best way I've found for managing a bunch of tweets.

I posted about using Tweetdeck a while back . . . http://alicross.blogspot.com/2011/03/totally-twitter-tuesday.html

And, um. It's a toss-up. Not so much a fan of FB. I mainly use it for friends and family. Twitter is all writing all the time (mainly). Blogging is essential, but for different purposes.

I use Twitter daily (many times daily, lol) and really enjoy the connections I've made there!

I'm not tweet, but I must say facebook is packs more of a punch. More info faster, etc. I love it. But I also love the depth you get in blogging.

LOL! Poor boy. I'd be afraid I'd do something stupid with it too... which is why I haven't signed up for Twitter yet. Maybe I'll visit the wikihow too!

Have a great, long weekend!

I've been on Twitter for a while, but still don't really get it. I look for you...

I enjoy blogging and the people I've made connections with. Facebook is fun too...

Have a great weekend!

I do all three, and they all have different strengths and weaknesses IMO. I agree a lot with what Ali posted. Also, did you mean #haSHtag? or is that a new name I haven't heard of? ;)

I am finally getting the hang of Twitter. I think. I had to remind myself over and over that Twitter is not Facebook. Don't expect them to be the same. I'm starting to enjoy twitter as much as FB now.

I really am not a tweeter- I love blogger and facebook is okay.

I'm getting the hang of twitter but haven't found much useful to say yet, I think. We'll see. Smart idea about the wiki though.

Love the new look! =D

I've had a twitter account for a year and for the life of me I can't figure it out. One of these days I'll need to put more effort into it. For right now Blogging is my favorite.

I've had a twitter account for quite sometime, but never really tweeted. I prefer blogging .

I like them all, for different purposes. They all different, so they can't really be used for the same thing.

Blogs: This is where I post my thoughts about stuff. It's daily, M-F, and people leave me comments. I then can choose to converse back with them by A) commenting on their blog or B) emailing them. Sometimes I do both. This is where I built most of my friendships online. They're deeper and more meaningful, because they're often done in private.

Twitter: This is great for driving people to your blog/website. It's great for short converstaions with a lot of people. Where blogging is a mile deep and an inch wide, twitter is the opposite. It's a mile wide, but an inch deep. Very superficial-for me. I don't hold my meaningful conversations on twitter, nor have my more personal relationships come from the interactions I have on twitter.

Facebook: I don't really like FB for social networking. To me, it's a place to put fun stuff for people that know me. It's more personal to me, to people I live around or know in person or whatever. I have a very hard time using it for book-related things. I'm trying, but it doesn't feel like the right forum.

And now I've typed a blog post! Sheesh. SORRY.

I'm trying to get better at twitter but the minute I joined it I slowed down on blogger too. Now a days there are so many wonderful things to be a part of it's hard to choose!

It looks like I'm doing okay though, people are following and tweeting back. I figure if I am losing them all then I should check myself.

I joined Twitter maybe a month ago and still haven't taken the time to really figure it out. One of these days! Blogging is definitely my social media of choice.

At first I didn't think I liked Twitter but now it's my favorite of all. It's fast, fun and easy. I have made so many friends there.
I still love blogging and have made SO many close friends through my blog. Also, it's different than twitter in that we can share in depth topics and information.

(I like what Elana said with her depth/width comparison)

I have zero interest in FB. I finally joined and I never visit it. It does nothing for me. (the one thing I do like about it is that it tells me when people's birthdays are coming up. :)

Have a delightful holiday weekend! :)
Love,
Lola

Facebook is my friends IRL and Twitter (since I finally figured it out this month) has become largely about writing friends. I love them equally now for different reasons.

I love twitter now, but it took me about a year to figure it out. What's your twitter handle? I wanna follow you! Mine is @YamileSMendez
I'm so sad I didn't see you at LDStorymakers! Maybe we'll cross paths soon.

I really like Twitter, but Blogger might be tied - except that it's had a few glitches the last couple of weeks. I don't like FBing though. Sad, because most of my friends and family do. :)

I don't "get" twitter. Makes no sense to me at all.
